Floating Bridge out of service | The Cowes floating bridge will be out of action this weekend for essential repairs. It was halted Thursday night after a drive shaft, in service for 34 years, failed. A local firm will make a replacement, to be produced and fitted over the weekend. The Jenny Lee will operate in the meantime, while vehicles will be diverted via Newport.
